"This was my daughter’s very first summer at Camp Lakota, and her very first sleepaway camp experience. From the moment she arrived, she was welcomed with open arms and made to feel like she truly belonged. Camp Lakota gave her the kind of summer every child dreams about. One of my favorite parts was seeing the daily photos. I watched my daughter confidently try things I never imagined she would. She was playing sports she would normally avoid, participating in activities outside of her comfort zone, and embracing every opportunity with a huge smile. It was incredible to watch her confidence grow from afar. The counselors are also absolutely amazing. They are kind, encouraging, loving, and such wonderful role models. It was so clear how much they genuinely care about each camper and create an environment where kids feel safe, supported, and empowered to be themselves. As parents, there is nothing more reassuring than knowing your child is happy, loved, and thriving while they’re away from home. We are beyond grateful for everyone at Camp Lakota for giving our daughter such a magical camp experience. She can’t wait for next summer!"
